ABOUT US | GET INVOLVED | CHANGE YOUR MIND | PROGRAMS & SERVICES | STAY INFORMED | OUR VISION

Art has been something I’ve been doing since grade school, just doing it for fun. But now I feel comfortable with sharing my creativity with the world and what better way to do that than through the many public venues of Atlanta. We all benefit from art. Art is everywhere and in everything. Art movies the soul, it helps us both physically and mentally. Art yesterday, today, and tomorrow is essential for us as a people. Finally, it is the branch of universal language that connects countries throughout the world.

Bold lines, sketch marks, bright colors, and interesting compositions are the essentials of my work. I’m inspired by the storyboard type camera angles, and sketch marks which come from animation. Vibrant colors and abstract shapes are the other inspirational tools that come from my traditional art side. My art contains abstract sketch marks and gestures in different types of scenes. I fuse the sketches and scenes together with the angles and colors to really draw you into the piece. Born in Memphis, Tennessee from a family of eight, I started doing art at an early age. Motivated by my mom to take it seriously, I attended college after high school. I enrolled in Jr College in Memphis and from there to Jackson, Mississippi, where I studied design and took my first painting class. I loved painting from day one and was influenced by the various art styles. During my senior year at Jackson State University, I became interested in animation. After graduating, I moved to L.A. where I studied animation for a couple of years and began to work between the two mediums. I enjoyed both the Mississippi and California experience and reflect that in my work.
